Volunteers from abroad

A partnership between the “Centre for Palliative Care” and “Jesuit Volunteers” from Germany has been established since 2007. Through this partnership, volunteers of the German foundation have carried out volunteering activies at the Hospice.

Each volunteer spends one year of their life in the Hospice, during which they develop a range of skills and abilities (including learning Romanian). One of these experiences is described by volunteer Peter Fendel in the article “A Matter of Life and Death – A Year as a Hospice Volunteer.”
